After more than ten years of painstaking dedication, deliberation, preparation (and perspiration), the long-awaited ‘Phil Hill book’ – so long regarded as a mythical beast by classic car and motor racing enthusiasts worldwide – is at last poised for publication. Lovingly crafted by multiple award-winning motor racing historian and author Doug Nye, and American photographer Steve Dawson, ‘Inside Track’  has been created with the uncompromising objective of being simply the finest World Champion Driver’s book ever published. Through all his racing up until 1962, Phil Hill used his favoured Leica cameras “… to show the folks back home” the motor racing scene he so loved. This long-private personal photo collection plus racing autobiography – a superb record of a bygone motor racing age – is now in final production, due for publication early in the New Year … or possibly sooner.
